Colombiage is a not-for-profit festival dedicated to a very important cause – furthering a better understanding between cultures – and the people who constitute them – through the power of the arts. In doing so, we hope to lead by example in celebrating diversity and integration while highlighting the importance of bringing undervalued cultures to the surface in a meaningful way.

But to do this we need your help. The festival owes its existence to the generosity of private individuals, private companies and our existing partners. Without your support, we will not be able to grow and continue generating the impact that we have already started to create. In the past two years, we have:

  • Created one of the most influential independent spaces of dialogue between Colombian and British audiences – a space where people can learn and be challenged by new ways of thinking while having fun.
  • Premiered the work of talented Colombian musicians, directors and writers never seen or heard in the UK. This has meant that Colombiage audiences have been the first in the country to discover the work of highly acclaimed authors like Evelio Rosero, recently awarded the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize 2009.
  • Opened doors to many talented Colombian artists who had never had the chance to export their talent outside their country. As a result, our guest bands are now being invited to take part in influential festivals and events around the world.
  • Created a platform for new work. By exposing Colombian talent to influential taste makers in the UK, next year will see the publication of the first book to be born out of the festival. A book which will no doubt resonate with insight and brilliance in the UK and the rest of the world (announcement to be made later in the year).
  • Attracted some of the most diverse audiences in London with one of the most ambitious and eclectic programme of events the UK has even seen from Colombia.

There are many different ways to get involved and help us make Colombiage a lasting success. If you are an individual, you can help us make a difference by:

  • Purchasing a ticket to attend the festival on the 17 & 18th October
  • Participate in El CoLoco 2009 and become part of the celebration yourself wherever you are

If you are a company, there are different packages available, which we can tailor to your specific business needs. To find out more please contact Laura Suarez on 0207 7330601 or email her via our contact form.

If you believe in what we’re doing, please help us to make a difference. Your support will go a long way.
